A 12-ply silk floss, strandable. For needlepoint, cross stitch, and embroidery. This floss lives up to the distributor’s claim: It’s easy to use, as compared to some stranded silk; the tight twist helps to keep it from snagging and knotting on itself. Very similar to cotton floss in the way it handles. The thread has a very good sheen and lays quite well with a laying tool. Highly recommended! And it is fast becoming one of the most popular silks in the business, carried at many fine needlework shops. Manufacturer indicates that it is colorfast.

Recommended usage: 6 strands on 13 count, 4 strands on 18 count, 2 strands on Congress Cloth.

Rainbow Gallery has an excellent web site, complete with stitching tips for all of its wonderful threads; they also provide color cards which can be printed out for your reference. The color cards are large enough for you to get a very accurate representation of the colors on most computer monitors.
