The thread is a 7-ply, stranded silk with a moderate luster. A classic product!
Imported from France where the company has been in business since 1820.
Available in over 600 shades! Similar in weight to embroidery floss and is very
soft. Suggested uses include cross stitch, needlepoint, and embroidery.
Surprisingly easy to separate and use. No twisting. On #18 canvas, use 4 ply on
longer stitches; 3-4 on basketweave. Has a very good sheen and this is an old
standard often referenced in project guides and pattern books. Comes in a huge
number of colors, with a European flavor.
