The Caron Collection—Impressions. Available in 36 yard skeins ($4.30 for solid colors and $4.90 for variegated); special order of 120-yard skeins and 400- yard skeins

A 50% silk, 50% wool blend. Smooth, silky feeling and exquisite to work with. Available in 96 solid colors and 38 variegated; the variegated colors coordinate with Watercolours (the pima cotton thread.) Impressions is almost the same weight as #8 pearl cotton and handles very well and is a pleasure to stitch with. (We keep the solid colors in stock and can special order the variegated colors.)

Recommended usage:

Needlepoint on #18 and #24 canvas, 1 strand; on #13/14 canvas, use 2 strands. Upright stitches cover best with 2 strands on #18 canvas; may need 3 strands on #13/14 canvas for upright stitches.

Cross Stitch: on #18-28 (over 2), use 1 strand; on #13-14 (over 2) use 2 strands.

Embroidery: works well on fine linens; use appropriate number of strands as required for coverage.
