Hoops, Frames,
Q-Snaps--
The use of a hoop or frame is pretty much a personal
choice; people do what works best for them.
Many stitchers find that using a hoop or frame helps them control the piece
better and helps them perfect their stitching. With the fabric firmly fixed in
place, it is easier to keep a better stitch tension, and for some of the more
complicated stitches, a taut fabric is a must.
When using hoops, it is recommended that you remove the hoop each day after
stitching to avoid permanent marking of the fabric; you may also want to
consider wrapping the hoop with bias tape to help prevent marking of your
fabric.
We stock a number of wooden hoops from England, as well as stretcher bars,
scroll frames, and Q-Snaps; again, the choice is yours, with the important thing
that you enjoy your stitching.
